Synopsis
Throughout Asia and for more than a century, international teams involved in the rediscovery and protection of heritage have been working on monumental reconstructions by anastylosis. However, for several decades now, the development of digital techniques has allowed significant progress in the recording of all phases of anastylosis projects: in the recording of the monument in its unrestored state, in the production of images of the planned restoration, in the recording of the different phases of disassembly and reassembly, and finally in the dissemination of images of the completed anastyloses.
Around small presentations, this workshop proposes to question the interest, efficiency, reversibility, permeability of digital recording systems and images produced as part of anastylosis projects. The primary objective of this workshop is to share experiences and open a discussion around the theme of digital recording in connection with anastylosis projects.
